Mission Statement

“The promotion of the social engagement and integration of people with an immigration background” is one of 7 strategic goals of the administration of the city of Recklinghausen, home of the Ruhrfestspiele. In the 10-year perspective the city considers itself a good example for the cohabitation of all age brackets and groups of different origin. The city council and the 15 specialist divisions and owner-operator establishments are dedicated to this objective. Integration is being understood as a cross-section task; coordination and control occur through the office of integration.
